Blaine is entering his 3rd season with the Colts. Coach Bud Stefanski named Blaine one of 6 assistant captains for this season. Blaine, along with Aaron Power and Erik Reitz are the players left from the OHL Championship team from two seasons ago.
He was chosen in the 5th round, 91st overall in the 1999 OHL Priority Selection. Blaine had the longest scoring streak of the season last year. His streak came to an end after 18 games.

NHL STATUS:
Eligible for the 2002 NHL Entry Draft.
Was invited to attend the Boston Bruins training camp this past August.
